We are always happy to pass along savings from our local gravel pit and can also offer recycled materials for your projects.
Rip Rap is a permanent, erosion-resistant ground cover of large, loose, angular stone. Rip Rap commonly is used to protect soil from erosion due to concentrated runoff. It is also used to stabilized slopes that are unstable and slow the velocity of concentrated runoff.
Number 1 limestone can be used in similar situations as Rip Rap, and can also be used for bridging soft areas in road and driveways, then covered with a smaller crushed aggregate.
Number 2 limestone is commonly used for a road base and covered with a smaller. crushed aggregate
Number 4 limestone is commonly used under railroad tracks and can be used to fill in over cuts.
Number 8 limestone can be used to top dress a driveway or parking area. It is a clean stone with no powder to pack.
Number 9 limestone is similar to 8 limestone only smaller, it is also clean with no powder.
Number 73 limestone is most common for residential driveways. It packs and stays in place well.
Number 53 limestone is slightly larger than 73 limestone, it can be used on residential driveways as well. This stone holds up well in ag and industrial/commercial parking lots and driveways.
Ag lime is a soil additive made from pulverized limestone. Ag lime is used to increase the pH of more acidic soils. It also provides calcium and magnesium for plants and improves the uptake of other nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
Stone sand is finely crushed stone that can be used in place of sand.
